Game Boy Advance SP - Transparent Purple Edition
Restored in Brisbane

Game Boy Advance SP – Transparent Purple Edition

Translucent purple lets the original Nintendo hardware show through this rebuilt folding SP.

What makes it different

  • IPS V5 backlit screen with adjustable brightness.
  • Original Nintendo mainboard, cleaned and tested.
  • Restored design: Clear purple shell with visible internals.
  • 850mAh rechargeable battery — roughly 4-5 hours of play per charge.

Choose your charging port

Select Standard Charging for the original-style port, or USB-C Fast Charging for a modern cable. Choose your option above before adding the console to your cart.

Make it yours

Every console ships fully restored and ready to play. These upgrades are optional, not required — pick them only if they matter to you.

  • Tactile Buttons: replaces the stock membrane pads with a crisper, more responsive click — noticeable if you've felt a well-worn original SP go soft over time.
  • Audio Amp Boost: a louder, clearer built-in speaker, for anyone who plays without headphones.
  • Custom Button Colour: a purely cosmetic swap so your build matches your shell, or stands out from every other Transparent Purple Edition out there.

In the box

  • Game Boy Advance SP – Transparent Purple Edition with IPS V5 screen
  • Rechargeable battery, pre-installed

Console only; games are not included. Plays original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance cartridges.

Shipping and support

Each console is rebuilt and tested by hand in Brisbane. Free tracked shipping within Australia is included. Our work and fitted parts carry a 100-day warranty from delivery. Eligible unused consoles can be returned within 30 days for store credit or exchange. Read the full returns and warranty policy.

Classic purple still slaps

No artwork needed — the smoked purple shell is the whole point. IPS screen is properly bright and the board looks mint through the lid. Arrived well packed from Brisbane.

Clean build

Exactly what I wanted. Clear purple, no theme, just the internals showing through. Buttons feel good and the V5 screen is a huge jump from stock.

Looks better in person

Photos don't quite show how the purple glows under light. Fast dispatch, solid packaging. Plays GBA carts no issues.

Almost perfect

Love the colour and the screen. Only docking a star because the clear shell picks up fingerprints pretty quick. Still a great console.

Build quality is better than I expected for a refurb. IPS is bright, speakers are fine. Thanks.

C

Arrived quicker than expected and well padded. Console plays GB GBC and GBA no issues.

Good value

For an IPS V5 SP shipped from Aus, this is fair. Purple shell still looks the part after 20 years of that colour existing.
