Trade-In Requirements
Which consoles can I trade in?
We currently accept original Nintendo Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Advance SP consoles.
How much is my console worth?
An original Game Boy Advance receives an A$55 discount. A Game Boy Advance SP receives an A$75 discount.
Does the console need to work?
The console must be complete and contain its genuine Nintendo motherboard. Please tell us about any known faults before sending it.
Does cosmetic condition matter?
Normal wear, scratches and discolouration are generally fine. Consoles with severe damage, corrosion, missing parts or previous motherboard modifications may not qualify.
Do I need to include games or accessories?
No games or accessories are required. Please mention any missing console parts when contacting us.
Discounts & Ordering
Can I receive cash instead?
No. The quoted value is provided as a discount towards an eligible RetroFit console and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Can I combine the discount with another offer?
Trade-in discounts cannot normally be combined with another discount code or promotional offer.
When will I receive my discount code?
Your code will be issued after your console arrives and its condition and internal hardware have been checked.
Can I trade in more than one console?
Contact RetroFit before sending multiple consoles. Each trade-in must be approved before postage.
Postage
Who pays for postage?
The customer is responsible for safely posting the trade-in console to RetroFit in Australia. Tracked postage is strongly recommended.
What should I include in the parcel?
Include your name, email address and trade-in reference. Do not include games, SD cards or accessories unless requested.
What if the console is lost in transit?
RetroFit cannot issue a trade-in discount for a console that does not arrive. Please retain your tracking details and postage receipt.
